Florence Yutrzenka, 69

Argyle - Florence Yutrzenka, 69, died Sunday, September 9.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in rural Argyle with Rev. August Gothman as celebrant. Norita Beaudry was the organist, and a vocal duet was presented by Darryl and Debbie Tvietbakk. Casketbearers were Jason Braness, David Braness, Aaron Sailer, Matthew Sailer, Jonathan Sailer and Jay Michalski. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery in rural Argyle with Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren in charge of the arrangements.

Florence was born on September 13, 1931 in Oslo, the daughter of Theodore and Susie Michalski. In 1938, the family moved to rural Argyle where Florence attended school, graduating with honors in 1949.

While working at the Argyle Creamery, she met Leonard Yutrzenka, and the couple was married on October 6, 1952. They raised their family and farmed at rural Argyle.

Florence was very active at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, servings as Regent twice and also serving a term as District Deputy. She was also a member of Marshall County Homemakers. In 1990, Leonard and Florence were named the KNOX Farm Family of the Year.

She enjoyed working beside her husband on the farm, gardening, canning, freezing and especially, spending time with her children and grandchildren. In August, she enjoyed traveling to Apple Valley and Kansas City, seeing all of her children and grandchildren.

Florence is survived by two daughters, Ann (Gary) Braness of Kansas City, Mo. and Pam (Ron) Sailer of Apple Valley; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Yutrzenka of Campbell, Calif. and Kevin (Kristy) Yutrzenka of Argyle; 13 grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel (Karen) Michalski of Argyle and Duane (Diane) Michalski of Apple Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; a sister, Dorothy Yutrzenka; and three brothers, Norbert, Adolph and Sylvester Michalski. A00003B2001SP19
