Harold Wold, 66

Detroit Lakes - Harold Wold, 66, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at his home in Detroit Lakes.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 23, at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Audubon with Rev. Fred Morck and Rev. Dave Hyland officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes with David-Donehower Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Harold Gene Wold was born on August 7, 1935 at Middle River, the son of Helmer and Clarice (Syverson) Wold. He grew up at Middle River and graduated from Middle River High School in 1954. He worked on a farm near Kennedy for a time and then attended Northwest Technical College in Thief River Falls where he studied accounting.
On December 20, 1958, Harold was united in marriage to Gretchen Majer at Popple Grove Lutheran Church near Strathcona. The couple resided in Moorhead where Harold worked for Camrud-Foss Construction Company and later Dakota Plate Glass in Fargo. In 1972, they purchased Long Lake Campsite near Detroit Lakes where they had since resided. In 1989, Harold and Gretchen purchased Wold's RV Sales, the former Indian Hill Sales, on Highway 10 Detroit Lakes, which he was operated until the time of his death.
Harold was a member of First Lutheran Church of Audubon and was very active in the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce and Resort Association.
He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Harold is survived by his wife, Gretchen; four sons, Merle (Kathy), Kelvin, Randy (Alisa), and Jay (Amy), all of Detroit Lakes; his mother, Clarice Haugen of Coon Rapids; a sister, Rachel (Jon) Nelson of Blaine; and seven grandchildren.
