Wilson, 79
East
Grand Forks - Herb Wilson, 79, formerly of
Thief River Falls and Warren, died on Thursday,
September 4, 2003 at his home.
Funeral
services were held on
Monday,
September 8 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East
Grand Forks. Interment was in South Bethany
Cemetery of rural East Grand Forks.
Herb
Wilson was born on October 23, 1923 in Hazel, the
son of Gustav and Gunda (Johnson) Wilson. He
graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River
Falls.
On
April 19, 1952 he married Muriel Christianson in
East Grand Forks. The couple lived in Warren for 25
years, where Herb owned and operated Herb's Texaco.
They moved to East Grand Forks in 1974 and for many
years, he worked for Silverman's Clothing Store. He
was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and
the East Grand Forks Retired Men's Club. Herb
enjoyed following sporting activities and being
active.
Survivors
include his wife, Muriel of East Grand Forks; a
son, Mark (Julie) of Chetek, Wisc.; a daughter,
Karen (Eric) Larson of rural East Grand Forks; six
grandchildren; a sister, Harriet Peterson of
Winona; and a brother, Warren (Betty) of Fargo,
N.D.
Herb
was preceded in death by his parents and two
brothers, Gerhard and Morris.
