Dagny Wick, 89

Grand Forks, N.D. - Dagny Wick, 89, died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center in Grand Forks, N.D.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, August 1) at Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, N.D. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Forks.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Visitation will also be held at the church for one hour prior to services.

Dagny Arthalinda Halvorson was born on May 3, 1912 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Halvor and Emma (Lee) Halvorson. She grew up in Thief River Falls and attended school there and graduating from Lincoln High School. She later attended a business college in Grand Forks.

On August 10, 1940, Dagny married Stanley Wick at Crookston. The couple made their home in Grand Forks. Stanley died on December 14, 1991.

Dagny is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Dale) Helms of East Grand Forks; two sons, Douglas (Carol) Wick of Seattle, Wash. and Donald (Alane) Wick of Eau Claire, Wisc.; 10 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; three brothers, Lester (Thelma) Halvorson of Ham Lake, William (Helen) Halvorson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Harold (Alpha) Halvorson of Thief River Falls; and four sisters, Rebecca Solem of Thief River Falls, Stella (Alfred) Bitzer of Williams, Bernice (Owen) Saupe of Anchorage, Alaska and Phyllis Styles of Littleton, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Helen Carlson; and a brother, Morris Halvorson. A00003B2001AG01
