Sharon Whalen-Carriere, 63

carriere_sharonSeattle - Sharon Whalen-Carriere, 63, formerly of Oklee, died on Sunday, June 22, 2003 in Seattle, Wash.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at St. Francis Xavior Catholic Church in Oklee with the Rev. John Kleinwachter officiating. Interment was in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Plummer.

Sharon Rose Whalen was born in Thief River Falls on June 9, 1940, the daughter of Esther and George Whalen. She has spent the last 17 years with the Holy Family Catholic Church as a youth minister and Archdiocese Tribunal Advocate.

Survivors include her husband, Duane; children, Anthony (Shari), Michael, and Kevin (Connie); two grandchildren; mother, Esther Whalen; and siblings, Joyce (Jerry) Johnson, Michael (Sandra) Whalen, Angela (Dean) Radniecki, Timothy (Linda) Whalen, and Gregory (Deborah) Whalen.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, George, and a nephew.
