River Falls - Mary F. Welsh, 85, of Thief River
Falls and formerly of Middle River died at Oakland
Park Nursing Home on Tuesday, April 27,
2004.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 6
at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Thief Lake, with
Pastor Jim Field officiating. Casket bearers
include Doug Henning, Jerome Henning, Brad Ness,
George Hill, Loyal Blom and Harry Scramstad.
Mary
F. Welsh, the daughter of the late Frank and Sandra
(Olson) Isaacson, was born on November 27, 1918, in
Grygla. She attended school and grew to womanhood
there, and was raised in the Lutheran faith. She
made her home with Alfred Henning near Middle River
for many years, and in 1978, moved to the former
Blom Boarding Home in Middle River.
In
March of 1983, she moved to the Valley Home in
Thief River Falls and in 1998, she moved to Oakland
Park Nursing Home where she has since resided.
Survivors
include three sisters, Hilja (Robert) Setten of
Orange, Calif., Anna (Marvin) Lair of Blaine and
Gail (Bob) Morin of Florida; and a close friend,
Carol Ness, of Middle River.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, one brother,
Isaac, two sisters: Ida and Minnie, and her special
friend, Alfred Henning.
