Lake - Timothy Van de Streek, 38, died on
Thursday, December 5, 2002 near Elbow
Lake.
Funeral
services were held on
Monday,
December 9 at St. James Catholic Church in Maine,
Minn. with Rev. Paul Folsom officiating. Interment
was in the church cemetery.
Timothy
E. Van de Streek was born on November 19, 1964, the
son of Harold Van de Streek and Karen (Mosbeck) Van
de Streek in Thief River Falls. He attended
elementary school in St. Hilaire and graduated from
Perham High School in 1983. On May 7, 1988, he
married Susan Denbrook in Rush Lake. He had been
employed by Perham Ready Mix and Northern
Irrigation in Perham. Tim travelled to California
and Florida installing light fixtures in new Target
stores. He also worked at Minnesota Valley
Irrigation in Wadena. Since 1998, he has owned and
operated West Central Irrigation in Morris.
Tim
enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling,
four-wheeling, horse-back riding and spending time
with his friends. He loved his family, nieces and
nephews and especially his wife and
daughter.
Survivors
include his wife, Sue and daughter, Michaela, of
Ottertail; his mother, Karen Vlam of Moorhead; his
father, Harold and other mother, Marky Van de
Streek of Perham; one brother, Jeff (Diane) of
Detroit Lakes; a sister, Amy (Jed) Nelson of Thief
River Falls; a grandmother; his mother-in-law; and
many nieces and one nephew.
Tim
was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce; and
grandparents.
