Donald Ueland, 65

Beloit, Wisc. - Donald Ueland, 65, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at his home in Beloit, Wisc.

Funeral services were held at Ueland noon on Saturday, April 6, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beloit with Rev. Roger Elliot officiation. Interment was in Floral Lawns Ceme-tery.

Donald Duane Ueland was born on July 29, 1936 in New Solum Township, the son of Ole and Florence (Ranum) Ueland. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954 and moved to the Beloit, Wisc. area where he had since resided.

On June 29, 1957, Donald was united in marriage to Jacqueline Jean Hagg in Janesville, Wisc. He was an educator/teacher for the Beloit Elementary School System for 29 years.

Donald was a former member of the National Guard. He was also a member of the Beloit Retired Educators Association and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; six daughters, Cory (Mark) Gatliff of Brentwood, Tenn., Lynn (Russ) Brandenburg of Seabrook, Texas, Anne (Brian) Jahn of Canton, Mich., Kristine (Ward) Krull of Tega Cay, S.C., Catina (Bill) Showers of Lindstrom, and Rachel (Lance) Shepherd of Beloit, Wisc.; four sons, Thomas (Cassie) Ueland of Plymouth, N.H., Daniel Ueland of Montgomery, Texas, Robert Byrne of So. Beloit, Ill., and Erik Ueland of Evansville, Wisc.; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Ueland Ranum of Janesville, Wisc. and Fran (Orville) Skadsem of Thief River Falls; a brother, Russell Ueland of Tower; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and twin grandsons. A00003B2002AP10
