- Michael Tuura, 47, of Greenbush, MN., died
Wed., Oct. 8, 2003, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo,
N.D., of injuries received in a motorcycle accident
near
Greenbush
Monday morning. Services were held at 10 am. Monday
October 13 at First Lutheran Church in Middle
River.
Michael
John Tuura, the son of Arne and Ione (Langlie)
Tuura, was born on Dec. 17, 1955 in Thief River
Falls. He attended school and grew to manhood in
Middle River, and was baptized and confirmed at
First Lutheran Church there. Mike farmed with his
father for a few years, and later was employed at
Land O Lakes in Roseau and Marvin Windows in
Warroad. He was presently employed at Polaris
Industries in Roseau and also by Foldesi Farms and
Custom Welding of Greenbush. On April 3, 1993, Mike
was united in marriage to Ann Magers at First
Lutheran Church in Middle River. The couple made
their home in Middle River for a brief time prior
to moving to Greenbush where they have since
resided. Mike was active in AA throughout the area
and was an active motorcyclist. He was a member of
the H.O.G. Chapter of Grand Forks, N.D.
Survivors
include his wife, Ann; two daughters, Michelle
(Kevin Todd) Berard of Greenbush and Jenea Rewertz
of St. Anthony; two sons, Justin Rewertz of
Willmar, and Scott (Angie) Tuura, of Nampa, Idaho;
and four grandchildren; his parents, Arne and Ione
Tuura of Middle River; two sisters, Janice, (Wayne)
Larson and Marlene (Jerome) Lund, both of Middle
River; in addition to several aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mike
was preceded in death by his
grandparents.
