Kevin Tureson, 38

Champlin - Kevin S. Tureson, 38, formerly of Greenbush, died on January 27, 2003 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Kevin Tureson

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 31 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Greenbush with Rev. Bryce Fellman and Rev. John Bucka officiating. Linda Sovde was the organist and Marie Olson was the soloist. Honorary casketbearers were all those who attended the service. Casketbearers were Dean Dahl, Tim Dahl, Jason Branden, Tom Price, Mike Kruger, Mark Bertilrud and Ross Muson. Interment was in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery.

Kevin S. Tureson was born on June 3, 1964, the son of Sander and Jean (Soderberg) Tureson in Thief River Falls. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from Greenbush High School in 1982. He was a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead.

On December 31, 1988, he married Melissa Schaubert in Bowdon, N.D. The couple made their home in Champlin and have resided there since. Kevin was a CPA with Virchow, Krause and Co. of Bloomington. He was an avid golfer and he loved sports. He was a member of the American Institute of CPAs and vice president of the House of Hope Congregation.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa, and children, Kayla and Joshua, all of Champlin; parents, Sander and Jean of Greenbush; brothers, Kurt (Karee) of Burnsvillle, Jeff of Greenbush, and Chris (Tamara) of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Sue (Chad) Boen of Thompson, N.D.; grandmothers, Esther Soderberg of Buxton, N.D. and Agnes Tureson of Hallock; his mother-in-law, Adeline Schaubert of Bismarck, N.D.; and many other relatives.

Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers. A00003B2003FB05
