- Thomas Torgerson, 89, died on Friday, August
22, 2003 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo,
N.D.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, August 25 at Our
Savior's 
Lutheran
Church in Warren. Interment was in Greenwood
Cemetery in Warren.
Thomas
Torgerson was born on January 18, 1914 in rural
Warren, the son of Oscar and Gustie (Josephson)
Torgerson. He was baptized and confirmed in the
Lutheran faith and was a lifetime member of Our
Savior's Lutheran Church in Warren. He attended
Roan Country School in Brislet Township of Polk
County.
On
September 12, 1951 he married Mary Grega in Tabor.
The couple made their home in rural Warren, where
they farmed. Thomas served on the church council
and on the Angus Co-op Elevator Board. His loves
were his faith, family and farming.
Survivors
include five children, Beverly (Dale) Clausen of
Argyle, Wayne (Beverly) of Warren, Darlene (Ted)
Dvorak of Warren, Sondra (Rick) Johnson of Andover
and Shirley (Dan) Peterson of Pewaukee, Wisc.; 11
grandchildren; a sister, Irene Erickson of Warroad;
and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas
was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his
parents; sisters, Sylvia, Mabel, Hattie and Evelyn;
a brother, Gordon; and an infant brother,
Thomas.
