Jackson,
Wisc. - Harry M. Tollefson, 68, formerly of
Thief River Falls, died Saturday, February 9, 2002
at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in West Bend,
Wisc.
A
memorial service will be held today (Wednesday,
February 13) at 3 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and
Cremation Service in West Bend, Wisc. with Rev.
Victor Hackbarth officiating.
Harry
M. Tollefson was born on March 16, 1933 on his
family's homestead near Goodridge, the son of
George and Minnie (Bye) Tollefson. He attended
school in District 125 near Hazel and served in the
U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harry was employed
as a pressman at the Thief River Falls Times
for 30 years.
In
1989, he moved to Jackson, Wisc. On April 21, 1990,
he married Diana (Nelson) Smith in Jackson. After
moving to the Jackson area, Harry worked as a
pressman at the West Bend News for a few
years.
Survivors
include his wife, Diana; a daughter, Linda (Dennis)
Byklum of Grygla; a son, Michael (Shari) Tollefson
of Rochester; a stepson, Thomas Schuster of
Jackson, Wisc.; three grandchildren; two sisters,
Doris (Donald) Hasby of Hartford, Wisc. and Deloris
Johnsrud of Goodridge; a brother, Gordon Tollefson
of Thief River Falls; and several nieces, nephews,
and other relatives.
Harry
was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Tollefson;
a grandson, Douglas Harmer; a sister-in-law; and a
brother-in-law.
