Donna Taylor, 74

St. Hilaire - Donna Taylor, 74, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at her home in St. Hilaire.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, Obit Taylor at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls with Father Dennis Wieland officiating. Burial was in Community Cemetery in St. Hilaire. Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls was in charge of the arrangements.

Donna Jean Blanche Morin was born on February 12, 1927 at Baudette, the daughter of Martin Joseph and Johanna "Jennie" Hannah (Scholler) Morin. She was baptized at Baudette and confirmed at International Falls. She attended school in International Falls.

On October 24, 1951, Donna was united in marriage to John Alex Taylor in Little Falls. The couple lived in Grand Forks, N.D. for some time and then moved to Grand Marais where they lived until 1957 when they moved to Thief River Falls. In 1965, the couple moved to St. Hilaire. Donna was employed as a nursing assistant at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls from 1968 until 1981 and had worked at Arctic Enterprises. After John's death in 1985, Donna continued to make her home at St. Hilaire.

She was a member of St. Hilaire Senior Citizens and St. Hilaire Community Club.

She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, reading, playing cards and especially spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by five daughters, Sharon (Gary Dargon) Gilbertson and Diane (Greg) Bulger, both of St. Hilaire, Shirley (Norman) Brown of Coon Rapids, Dawn (John) Noel of West Fargo, N.D. and Barbara (Rich) Drabant of Spring Lake Park; five sons, Joseph (Judy) and Richard, both of Thief River Falls, Allen (Michelle) of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., Dennis of St. Hilaire and Frank of Lakewood, Wash.; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five brothers, William "Butch" of Baudette, Donald (Denise) of Robbinsdale, Marvin (Judy) and John, both of Minneapolis, and Anthony of Kenosha, Wisc.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Margie Zaren; and two brothers, Leo and Jim. A00003B2000AP25
