Warren
- Lorrale "Lori" Swenson, 82, died Thursday,
May 24, 2001 at Karlstad Healthcare Center in
Karlstad.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday,
May 29, at Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in Warren
with Rev. Tom Undem officiating.
Lorrale
Elseth was born on April 28, 1919 in Strandquist,
the daughter of Ben and Minnie Elseth. She spent
her early years in the Strandquist and Newfolden
areas.
On
May 10, 1944, she was united in marriage to Kenneth
Swenson at Holt. The couple made their home in the
Thief River Falls and Warren areas. After Kenneth
joined the Army, the couple moved to Colorado and
later lived in France for three years. Following
his discharge from the service, they returned to
Thief River Falls where they resided until moving
to Warren in the late 1950s. For several years,
Lori worked at the Good Samaritan Center in
Warren.
She
enjoyed home decorating, flowers and especially
music, playing the guitar and singing with her
friends.
Lorrale
is survived by her husband, Kenneth; a daughter,
Anita (Don) Owen of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Kendall
(Shirley) Swenson of Sussex, Wisc.; two
grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Harlan,
Jerry and Bernie.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; a sister,
Marcy; and two brothers, Lester and Basil.
