Ore. - Dorothy Swenson, 87, formerly of Warren
and St. Hilaire, died on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at
the Mennonite Home in Albany, Ore.
Private
funeral services are being held with interment at
St. Hilaire Cemetery in St. Hilaire.
Dorothy
Marion Bowman was born in Warren on March 25, 1916,
the daughter of Charles and Esther (Berg) Bowman.
She was raised in Minnesota and Saskatchewan,
Canada. She lived in Chicago before moving to St.
Hilaire.
She
married Alvin Swenson in 1941 in Thief River Falls.
She and her husband farmed in St. Hilaire until
moving to Newport, Ore., in 1964. She moved to
Albany, Ore., in 1975, where she has since resided.
Dorothy was a member of the Lutheran
Church.
Survivors
include sons, Ron and Mark, both of Albany, Ore.;
daughters, Dorene Brummer of Eugene, Ore., Arlys
Konickson of St. Hilaire, and Micki Swenson of Lake
Oswego, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
Dorothy
was preceded in death by her husband, her parents,
three brothers and one sister.
