Bagley
- Esther Sundbom, 88, died on Tuesday,
September 16, 2003 at the Greensview Health Care
Center in Bagley.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, September 20 at the
Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley with the Rev. John
Omans and the Rev. Mardy Schermerhorn officiating.
Interment was in the Bagley City
Cemetery.
Esther
Wold was born on August 8, 1915 in Trail, the
daughter of Selmer and Selma (Jacobson) Wold. She
was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church
of rural Fosston. She attended rural country school
by Trail. She worked out as a hired
girl.
On
October 3, 1936, Esther was united in marriage to
Hugo Walter Sundbom in Fosston. The couple bought a
farm and moved to Leonard in 1948. In the summer of
1959, they moved to Bagley. Esther was a homemaker
all of her life. She was a member of Faith Lutheran
Church in Bagley. she enjoyed scrapbooking, rummage
sale shopping, crocheting, embroidery, collecting
recipes, cooking and coffee parties. She also loved
to fish.
Survivors
include two daughters, Dorothy (Wayne) Johnson of
Bagley and Elaine (George) Larson of Bagley; three
brothers, Lloyd (Carol) Wold of Fosston, Vernon
(Ruby) Wold of Trail and Kenneth (Arlene) Wold of
Fosston; one sister, Myrtle Osmonson of Gully; 10
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great
great-grandchild.
Esther
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one
granddaughter and one grandson.
