Stromgren, 67
Strandquist
&endash; Reuben Stromgren, 67, Strandquist,
died at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D., on
Thursday, July 11, 2002.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, July 16, at Bethesda
Lutheran Church, Strandquist, with Rev. David
Pretty presiding. Interment will be in West Emmaus
Cemetery, rural Kennedy.
Reuben
Stromgren was born near Lake Bronson on January 28,
1935, the son of Carl and Ruby (Sauder) Stromgren.
He grew up on the family farm in Jupiter Township
of Kittson County and attended school in Lake
Bronson. On December 2, 1972 he married Gula
Paetznick in Middle River. Reuben farmed and worked
at Artic Cat in Thief River Falls for over 10
years. He also mowed county roads in Kittson and
Marshall counties until 1985 when he retired
because of failing health.
Survivors
include his wife, Gula; a son, LeRoy Stromgren of
Thief River Falls; three daughters, Diane Stromgren
of Argyle, Carol Stromgren of Thief River Falls,
and Donna Stromgren of Grand Forks, N.D.; several
grandchildren; his mother, Ruby of Hallock; a
sister, Clarice Hanson of Hallock; and three
brothers, Ronald (Marie) Stromgren of Murfreesboro,
Tenn., Roger (Janet) Stromgren of Mandan, N.D., and
Wayne (Laurie) Stromgren of Strandquist; as well as
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
father, a son, Bobby, and a sister Arlene
Clark.
