- Merrill A. Stroble, 86, died Saturday, April
13, 2002 at North Valley Health Center in
Warren.
Funeral
services were held at
10:30
a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, aÝ the
Angus-Tabor Presbyterian Church in Angus. Interment
was in Greenwood Cemetery in Warren with
Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home of Warren in charge of
the arrangements.
Merrill
Abram Stroble was born on May 29, 1915 in Angus
Township of Polk County, the son of Abram and Tina
(Sorenson) Stroble. He attended school in Angus and
at the Northwest School of Agriculture in
Crookston.
On
December 29, 1942, Merrill was united in marriage
to Mildred Jorgenson at Fisher. Merrill was a
lifelong resident and farmer in Angus
Township.
He
was a lifetime member of the Angus-Tabor
Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and
trustee. He also served on the Angus Township Board
of Supervisors for more than 40 years.
Merrill
was an avid hunter, fisherman, and
bowler.
Survivors
include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Robert (Joan)
Stroble of Thief River Falls and Arlyn (Marilyn)
Stroble of Angus; two daughters, Carole (Wayne)
Edgar of Brooklyn Park and Patricia (James) Emerson
of Shoreview; six grandchildren; a
great-grandchild; a sister, Inez Love of East Grand
Forks; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding
Merrill in death were his parents and two sisters,
Fern Tucker and Harriet Wallace.
