Grand
Forks, N.D. - Arthur Srnsky, 76, formerly of
Goodridge, died on Sunday, March 30, 2003 at the
Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral
services were held on Thursday, April 3 at the
Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Interment
was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand
Forks.
Arthur
Srnsky was born on April 19, 1926, the son of
Adolph and Libby (Forst) Srnsky, in rural
Goodridge. He grew up and attended school in rural
Goodridge and Thief River Falls. He served his
country during World War II from 1943 to 1946,
where he served in New Guinea and the Admiralty
Islands in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
On August
8, 1946, he married Donna Peterson in Great Falls,
Mont. He worked for Robertson Lumber Company for 30
years as a yard foreman, until his retirement in
1988.
Survivors
include his wife, Donna of Grand Forks; five
children, Donovan (Viola) of Grand Forks, Linda
Dietzler of Grand Forks, Leonard (Debra) of Grand
Forks, Ronny (Donna) of Larimore, N.D., and Kenny
of Grand Forks; 10 grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alice (Carl)
Nelson of Seattle, Wash., Dorothy (Lester)
Nordhagen of Thief River Falls, and Lucille
(Harold) McWilliams of Grand Forks; and two
brothers, John and Robert (Lois), both of Grand
Forks.
Arthur
was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,
Adolph and Leonard; and one sister, Dolly Gust.
