Adrian,
Mo. - Norman A. Sorter, 72, formerly of Middle
River, died on Monday, April 21, 2003 at his home
in Adrian, Mo.
Graveside
services were held on Thursday, April 24 at
Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, Mo., with the
Rev. Paul Burhart officiating.
Norman A.
Sorter was born on December 17, 1930, the son of
Arthur W. and Maude P. (Curtiss) Sorter, in
Marshall County. He grew up in Middle River and
then moved to Kansas City, where he worked for a
number of years at B.F. Goodrich Tire and Rubber
Co. He was also a farmer for a few years in
Minnesota. He worked for the Osage Valley Electric
COOP as a dispatcher before his retirement. He was
united in marriage to Mable L. Dunlap on November
22, 1962.
Survivors
include his wife, Mable; three brothers, Ervin of
Woodbridge, Va., Willard of Middle River, and
Lavern of Thief River Falls; one sister, Martha
Holsapple of Motley; and other relatives and
