Dorothy Skibicki

Concord, Calif. - Dorothy Skibicki, formerly of Thief River Falls, died on Thursday, July 10, 2003.

Interment was in the Gate of Dorothy Skibicki Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos, Calif.

Dorothy "Dodo" Skibicki was born in Kratka Township of Pennington County in 1927, the daughter of Steve and Kate Skibicki. She worked at Jung's Bakery and Narverud Cleaners in Thief River Falls in the 1940s. She also worked for 37 years for Union Oil of San Francisco as a clerk and supervisor. After her retirement, she worked for four years in the payroll department of Longs Drug in Martinez, Calif. She has resided in Concord, Calif., for the past 18 years. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts of all kinds. She also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her brother, Clarence "Arnie" (Helen) of St. Hilaire; two sisters, Agnes Corey of Great Falls, Mont., and Mary (Wayne) Carlson of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Patrick, Stanley, Jerome and Vincent; and sisters, Leah Burtness, Sarah and Louise.
