Mark Simenson, 44

Red Lake Falls - Mark Simenson, 44, died Sunday, October 21, 2001 at Northwest Medical Simenson obit Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, October 26, 2001 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Tim McGee officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 25, 2001 at the Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN and at the church for one hour prior to services on Friday.

Mark Allen Simenson was born January 13, 1957 in Thief River Falls, MN to George and Lucil (Loeffler) Simenson. He was baptized in February of 1957 and also confirmed at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls. He attended schools in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. Following High School, Mark joined the United States Navy. Afterwards, he worked in the Steel Industry in California. Mark followed his father's footsteps by working as a carpenter, first in Thief River Falls and later in Albuquerque, NM. He returned to schooling at Technical Vocational Institute at Albuquerque. While in college, Mark was Editor in Chief of the school paper. Following college, he became the Webmaster at the Webolution Café in Albuquerque. In 1999 he returned to Thief River Falls and worked as a 'Desktop Specialist/Technician' at Arctic Cat. Mark loved to fish and watch the animals in nature. He enjoyed cooking, especially pancakes and cheeseburgers, and also loved to eat. Mark loved their dog, Lobster, and could train her to do almost anything. He was happiest being back home in Minnesota, especially enjoying the snow. Mark lived in Red Lake Falls, MN with Robin Bodie and Lobster.

Mark is survived by Robin Bodie, his son, Justin Thor Simenson of Albuquerque, NM; step-son, Richie Nelson of Thief River Falls, MN; step-daughter, Crystal Nelson of Thief River Falls, MN; his parents, George and Lucil Simenson of Thief River Falls, MN; one brother, Charley (Lisa) Simenson of Thief River Falls, MN; three sisters: Debbie Leeper of Thief River Falls, MN, Connie (Lee) Wensole of Plymouth, MN and Claudia (Gary) Finneman of Annandale, MN; two nieces; four nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary Loeffler, Ralph and Connie Simenson and other family members. A00003B2001OC24
