Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at Altru Hospital in Grand
Forks, N.D.
Funeral
services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April
28, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in East Grand
Forks. Interment was in Sunnywood Gardens Cemetery
in Grand Forks. Amundson Funeral Home of Grand
Forks was in charge of the arrangements.
Rudella
G. Heen was born on November 21, 1917 in Lakeville
township of Grand Forks county of North Dakota, the
daughter of Halfred and Bennia (Johnson) Heen.
Rudella attended school in Lakeville township and
grew up in Mekinock, N.D.
On
January 12, 1945, she married Halvor Sigurdson in
East Grand Forks. The couple lived in East Grand
Forks until 1956 when they moved to Grand Forks. In
1957, Rudella began working for plant services of
the University of North Dakota. She retired due to
health reasons in 1977. Halvor died on August 1,
1970.
Rudella
was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of
East Grand Forks and Eagles Lodge 350
Auxiliary.
Survivors
include a daughter, Ellen (Willard) Loing of Grand
Forks; two sisters, Bernice Miller of Grand Forks
and Donna Hart of East Grand Forks; a brother,
Harris (Marvel) Heen of Grand Forks; and several
nieces and nephews.
Rudella
was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
