Vernon K. Sevre, 69

Sheridan, Wyo. - Vernon K. Sevre, 69, died Sunday, July 1, 2001 in Sheridan, Wyo.

A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan with Rev. Judy Roberts officiating. A reception followed the service at Sheridan Manor.

Vernon K. Sevre was born on March 5, 1932 near Thief River Falls, the son of Gene and Signe Sevre. He grew up in Pennington County. Vernon served in the U.S. Air Force in Thule, Greenland and also completed the Salvation Army ministerial course.

He worked for Safeway stores for 35 years, retiring in 1992. He was the regional representative for the Toastmasters in the Central Joaquin Valley of California.

Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Schroer of Madera, Calif., Brenda Music of Las Vegas, Nev. and Renee Proctor of Caruthers, Calif.; a son, Kenneth Sevre of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dale Sevre of White Bear Lake, Roger Sevre of Ramsey and Ronnie Sevre of Blaine; a sisters, JoAnn Meyers of Thief River Falls; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Duane and Richard Sevre. A00003B2001SP19
