M. Synneva Seielstad, 92

Grand Forks, N.D. - M. Synneva Seielstad, 92, died on Monday, December 9, 2002 at Tufte Manor.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 14 at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, N.D. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks.

Synneva Seielstad was born on January 23, 1910, the daughter of Mathias and Selma (Swan) Seielstad in Marshall County. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethania Lutheran Church in rural Newfolden. She attended Fairview Grade School and Newfolden High School. She then attended business college in St. Paul. Synneva worked for the Great Northern Railroad and for Burlington Railroad as a stenographer, until her retirement. She was an accomplished artist. She also enjoyed playing the organ and visiting with family, neighbors and friends.

Survivors include a brother, Marvin Seielstad of Grand Forks, N.D.; seven nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews, great great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Synneva was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lillian Robidoux, Clarice Sherva and Velma Christiansen; and a brother, Wallace Seielstad.
