Fargo,
N.D. - Louie Schue, 79, died on March 8, 2003
at the Villa Maria Nursing Home.
Mass
of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on
Saturday,
March
15 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake
Falls with the Rev. Tim Bushy officiating.
Interment will be held in St. Dorothy Cemetery in
Dorothy. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.
on Friday, March 14 at Johnson Funeral Home in Red
Lake Falls with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation
will also be held for one hour prior to services at
the church on Saturday.
Louie
was born on December 16, 1923, the son of Delphine
(Martell) and Michael Schue in Fisher. He attended
school in Fisher and Red Lake Falls.
On
June 19, 1947, he married Violet Teal in Red Lake
Falls. He joined the United States Marine Air Corps
on January 26, 1944, where he served in the Pacific
as a flight engineer and was honorably discharged
on July 28, 1946. He was employed in Red Lake Falls
by the Tow Mill, movie theater, Leo St. Michael
Locker Plant, Wilcox, American Legion and liquor
store. He owned Schue's Carpet Service for many
years. Louie was a member of St. Joseph's Church,
Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 22, the
Forty & Eight, VFW and Jaycees.
Louie
and Vi moved to Fargo, N.D. in 1994. This past June
they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with
their family. Louie enjoyed spending time with his
family, gardening, woodworking, camping, fishing
and wintering in Alamo, Texas.
Survivors
include his wife, Vi; their children, Kathy (Pete)
Stich of Red Lake Falls, Joette (Cal) Joy of
Spearfish, S.D., Rick (Deb) of Fargo, N.D., Tom
(Yvonne) of Lubbock, Texas, Tim (Ruth) of Port
Orchard, Wash., Bobbie (Tim) Miller of Coon Rapids,
Mary (Pete) Gerardy of Fargo, N.D. and Scott
(Yvette) of Andover; 21 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva McDonald of
Warren and Alice (George) Delorme of Red Lake
Falls; two brothers, Lawrence (Myrtle) of Red Lake
Falls and Bernie (Etta) of Bismarck, N.D.; and many
nieces and nephews.
Louie
was preceded in death by his parents and two
brothers.
