Alene Schoenauer, 68

Red Lake Falls - Alene Schoenauer, 68, died Monday, August 27, 2001 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Red Lake Falls with Rev. Gary Graff officiating. Sylvia Steinert will be the organist, and Cindy Arlt will be the soloist. Interment will be in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Cemetery in Plummer.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services. Johnson Funeral Service of Red Lake Falls is in charge of the arrangements.

Alene Schoenauer was born on September 11, 1932 at Crookston, the daughter of Paul E. and Edythe (Demann) Schoenauer. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at an early age. Alene grew up in Plummer where she received her high school diploma. She resided at home with her parents until 1981 when she entered Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls where she had since resided.

She played the piano as a young girl and enjoyed music.

Alene is survived by a sister, Pauline Walker of Oklee; two nephews and a niece; a great niece; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Deane Schoenauer. A00003B2001AG29
