Anthony Ross, 82

American Flag Shoreline, Wash. - Anthony "Tony" J. Ross, 82, died Tuesday, January 20, 2001 at his home in Shoreline, Wash.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Shoreline with Rev. James W. Schoeld officiating. Abbey Wuerffell was the organist, and the soloist was LeRoy Aasland. Inurnment was in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash.

Anthony J. Ross was born on March 24, 1918 at Westfield, Mass., the son of Frank and Mary Ross. Tony served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor and Purple Heart recipient.

On January 13, 1945 he was united in marriage to Camille Aasland, a 1941 Lincoln High School graduate from Thief River Falls. The couple made their home in the Seattle area.

Survivors include his wife, Camille; three daughters, Stephanie (Rick) Jones, Christina (Michael Cowderoy) Anderson and Sally Ross, all of the Seattle area; two brothers, Charles of Kenmore, Wash. and George of Connecticut; three sisters, Eleanor, Helen and Jean, all of Connecticut; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
