Warren - Frances Roley, 80, died on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 5 at the First Lutheran Church in Warren. Visitation will be held after 6:30 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, June 4 at the Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in Warren and for one hour prior to services a the church on Thursday. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Frances Evangeline Boman was born in Alvarado on September 16, 1922, the daughter of Axel and Florence (Berg) Boman. She graduated from Alvarado High School in 1940, attended Teacher Training and took classes at Moorhead State University. Frances taught rural schools in Hallock and Warrenton Township.

On June 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to E. Merton Roley at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Vega. They made their home in Warrenton Township.

Frances loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their accomplishments. She enjoyed making afgans and quilts for them. She enjoyed teaching and she encouraged her children to learn and further their educatio by attending college. She had a strong faith and was a caring and loving person whose actions spoke louder than words. Frances liked to quilt, knit, crochet and tend to her flower gardens.

Survivors include her husband, E. Merton; two sons, Allyn (Sue) of Warren, and Arden of Centralia, Wash.; three daughters, Eileen Larson of Long Prairie, Donna (Chuck) Choate of Fargo, N.D., and Naomi (Marco) Faust of Montpelier, Va.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Alvin (Eva) Boman of Alvarado, Robert Boman of Waverly, Kenneth (Lois) Boman of Vacaville, Calif., and Lowell (Sandy) Boman of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Laverne, John, Dale and Darrell (Bud); and one grandson.
