Funeral
services were held Monday,
Oct.
20, at Johnson-Green Funeral Chapel in Thief River
Falls, with Reverend Dennis Raymond officiating.
Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River
Falls.
Doris
"Dory" M. Roisland was born August 15, 1926 in
Thief River Falls, the daughter of Dreng and Mabel
(Omdahl) Roisland. She was baptized and confirmed
in the Lutheran Faith at Ebenezer Lutheran Church,
Oklee.
She
graduated from Lincoln High School. She was
employed by the 3M Company in Hastings. After
retiring, Dory returned to Thief River Falls. She
enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, bowling and
golf. She also enjoyed her garden and her dog,
Dolly Ho. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church,
American Legion Auxiliary in Thief River Falls and
a member of the Thief River Falls Women's Bowling
Association Hall of Fame.
Dory
is survived by two sisters, Bess Lang and Vi
Wettestad; one brother, Marvin (Delores) Roisland;
and a sister-in-law, Irene Roisland; all of Thief
River Falls, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her parents; a sister,
Mert Wilson; three brothers, Oscar, Tom Sr., and
Frank; sister-in-law, Opal; and three
brothers-in-law, John Lang, John Wettestead and
Stan Wilson; two nephews; and special friend, Ceil
