John Robidoux, 86

St. Paul - John Baptist Robidoux, 86, formerly of Brooks, died on Monday, January 13, 2003 at his home in St. Paul.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 18 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brooks with Rev. John Kleinwachter officiating. Special music was provided by Polly Beyer.

John Robidoux was born on May 8, 1916, the son of Napolian "Paul" and Laura (Fournier) Robidoux in Poplar River Township, near Brooks. He farmed with his father and brothers for the first 50 years of his life. He then moved to Minneapolis and worked as a cutodian in a bank and at White Castle Restaurant, until his retirement. John has lived with his nephew, Ronald and his wife, Kristine Bluemke, for the past four years in St. Paul. John enjoyed fox hunting in his younger years.

Survivors include his sisters, Maria (Melvin) Boucher of Brooks, Rose (Norman) Boucher of Buffalo, Alice (Bob) Bluemke of Oklee, Lucille Bluemke of Grand Forks, N.D. and Margaret Robidoux of Grand Forks, N.D.; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Robidoux and Carolyn Robidoux, both of Thief River Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Xavier and Robert. A00003B2002JA22
