Charlotte Remick, 74

Red Lake Falls - Charlotte Remick, 74, died on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at her home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Remick, Charlotte held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6 (today) at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Rev. Tim Bushy officiating. Gemma Drees will be the organist and special music will be provided by St. Joseph's Choir and Janet Etten. Casketbearers will be Brian Remick, Jason Remick, Kurt Remick, Christopher Weis, David Benjamin, Erik Lien, Kristian Lien and Aaron Lien. Honorary casketbearers will be all of Charlotte's granddaughters. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Red Lake Falls. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, also.

Charlotte Anne St. Ives was born on November 6, 1927, the daughter of Eli and Edna (Pouliot) St. Ives in Terrebonne Township. She was baptized at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne and attended Beau Gerlot county school, near Terrebonne, and Lafayette High School, graduating in 1945. On July 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Remick at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Terrebonne. The couple made their home on the St. Ives farm. In 1964, Ken and Charlotte formed Ken's Electric while continuing to farm and retired in 1989. They enjoyed traveling and spent many winters visiting the southern states.

Charlotte was a past member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Guild, Hillcrest Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Red Lake County Council on Aging Board, Beau Gerlot School clerk and co-chair of the 2000 All School Reunion. She enjoyed traveling, socializing with friends, volunteer work, crocheting, walking, playing cards, cooking, gardening and canning.

Survivors include children, Allen (Lois) of Red Lake Falls, Mary (Donald) Weis of Pine Island, Betty (Roger) Benjamin of Roseville, Rusty (Kristie) of Terrebonne, Barbara (Brian) Knudson of Chanhassen and Charlene (Geri) Lien of Moorhead; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Sybil (Maurice) Derosier of Red Lake Falls.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Glen St. Ives; sister, Julie Costello; and two infant brothers.
