Selma Rasmussen, 92

Thief River Falls - Selma Rasmussen, 92, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.

A private family memorial serv Sam Rasmussen ice will be held.

Selma "Sam" Gunderson was born on January 17, 1909 in Marshall county, the daughter of Nels and Bella (Brokke) Gunderson. Sam graduated from Lincoln High School in 1927 and was a life-long resident of the Thief River Falls community.

Sam's many activities centered around her love of golf. During her lifetime, she was a Cub Scout den mother and served as president of the Grand Forks Women's Club, Zehlians and hospital auxiliary and was treasurer of the Ladies Golf Club.

Survivors include a son, Dr. David (Ruth) Rasmussen of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Thea Lundrigan of Pine River; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Rasmussen in 1993; a son, Jerry in 1940; her parents; a brother, Chester; and four sisters, Bertha Klungness, Ruby Biever, Erma Gunderson and Nettie Gunderson. A00003B2000MY16
