Thief
River Falls - Arthur Randall, 74, died on
Saturday, December 21, 2002 at his home in Thief
River Falls.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December
27, 2002 at the Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief
River Falls with Rev. John Wollenzien officiating.
Ida Nordvall will be the organist and Vanessa
Anderson will be the soloist. Honorary
casketbearers will be all of Art's friends and
neighbors who watched over him. Military honors
will be accorded by the Thief River Falls American
Legion and VFW Post. Interment will be in Colome
Cemetery in Colome, S.D.
Arthur
Karl Randall was born on June 5, 1928, the son of
Andrew K. and Grace A. (Burns) Randall in Colome,
S.D. He grew up and attended country school south
of Colome, S.D.
He
served his country in the Army for a term. After
his military career, he moved to Oklee, where he
farmed. He also worked road construction and as a
farm hand. He has lived in Thief River Falls for
quite some time. Arthur had a gift of mechanical
ability. He loved to tinker and fix farm machinery
and small engines. He was a member of the Thief
River Falls American Legion, VFW and the
Eagles.
Survivors
include a daughter, Grace; a sister, Thelma Dodge
of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and several nieces and
nephews.
Arthur
was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters,
Anna Downing and Edna Randall; and two brothers,
