Wayne Rahn, 24

Haily, Idaho - Wayne Michael Rahn, 24, of Hailey, Idaho, formerly of Thief River Falls, died Saturday, October 18, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident. Rhan, Wayne Photo Mass of Christian burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 23, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, with Father Tim McGee and Deacon John Eisbrener officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls. Casket bearers are: Matt Carpenter, Kevin Wilde, Chris Norman, Cory Bugge, Micki McNelly and Kevin Rahn. Visitation will be 4 &endash; 8 p.m. today, (Wednesday) October 22, at Johnson-Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, with a 7 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Wayne was born January 4, 1979, in Thief River Falls, the son of Larry W. and Barbara (Bendel) Rahn. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1997. He worked at Auto Value until moving to Idaho in the fall of 2002, where he worked in the housing construction business.

Wayne enjoyed playing basketball in his school years and softball in later years. Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many hours at the sport with his father, sister, brother-in-law and friends.

Wayne attended St. Bernard's Catholic School as a child, was baptized and confirmed and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls.

Wayne is survived by his father, Larry and stepmother, Yvonne (Ode) Rahn, Thief River Falls; one sister, Lisa; and a brother-in-law, Glade Platts; one niece; two grandmothers; Esther Redekop, Mountain Lake, and Anne Bendel, Red Lake Falls; 4 cousins; 2 uncles; and one aunt; three step sisters: Dawn (Brian) Carey, Moorhead; Carla (David) Parish, Allen, Texas, Brenda (Mark) Doll, Prospect, Ky.; and many other relatives and friends.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Rahn; two grandfathers; and a step-grandfather. A00003B2003OT22
