Nev. - George F. Polansky, 74, formerly of
Thief Lake Township, died on Thursday, November 7,
2002 in Pahrump, Nev.
Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, November 13 at St.
Leo's Catholic Church in Lewistown, Mont. Interment
was also held in Lewistown, Mont.
George
F. Polansky was born on November 15, 1927, the son
of George P. and Mary (Musial) Polansky. He
attended elementary school in Thief Lake, Whiteford
and Rollis Townships. He graduated from Middle
River High School in 1946. George moved to Montana,
where he worked on the Victor Folda ranch, for
Farmer's Union Oil Company and the United States
Gypsum Company for 35 years. On July 20, 1949, he
married Clara Lambeff in Lewistown,
Mont.
George
loved to fish and hunt. He also loved to travel,
and after retiring, he and Clara traveled full-time
in their motor home for more than ten years. They
spent winters in Pahrump.
Survivors
include his wife, Clara; a daughter, Carol Stickney
of Pasco, Wash.; two sons, George P. (Marsha) of
Bozeman, Mont. and David (Marci) of Kalispell,
Mont.; seven grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene (Marge)
Polansky of Gatzke and Harold Polansky of Grygla;
two sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) Verbout and Angeline
(Donald) Verbout, both of Grygla; a sister-in-law,
Betty Polansky of Milwaukee, Wisc.; and several
nieces and nephews.
George
was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter,
Patricia Ann Polansky; a brother, Lawrence
Polansky; and a nephew.
