Delphine Pokrzywinski, 87

Alvarado - Delphine Pokrzywinksi, 87, died Friday, March 22, 2002 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.

Funeral services were held at Pokrzywinski obit 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oslo. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Oslo with Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks in charge of the arrangements.

Delphine Dauksavage was born on January 6, 1915 at Warsaw, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Anna (Grabanski) Dauksavage. She grew up and attended school in the Warsaw area.

On October 24, 1934, Delphine married Michael F. Pokrzywinski at Warsaw. The couple farmed in the Warsaw area until 1942 when they moved to the Alvarado area to farm. Delphine moved into Alvarado in 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Marlan Pokrzywinski of Crookston and Gerald (Darline) Pokrzywinski of Grand Forks, N.D.; a daughter, Arlene (Norris) Thune of Thief River Falls; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald (Margaret) Dauksavage of Oslo; and a sister, Leona Bayne of Oslo.

Delphine was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three infant children; and a sister, Sarah.
