Curtis Plante, 43

Brooks - Curtis Plante, 43, died Friday, May 17, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, May Plante obit 22) at Zion Lutheran Church in Oklee with Rev. Bob Dahlen officiating. Marian Marquis will be the organist. Casketbearers will be Steve Sebenaler, Greg Sebenaler, Danny Sebenaler, Alvin Langseth, Alex Wald, and Danny Peterson. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Oklee.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday, May 21, at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.

Curtis Alan Plante was born on May 21, 1958 in Red Lake Falls, the son of Frank Plante and Dorothy (Galland) Haugen. He attended school in Oklee and was united in marriage to Connie Rasmussen in 1980.

Curtis worked at American Crystal in Crookston, Arctic Cat, Vigen Construction, and with various area farmers.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, bicycles, and snowmobiles, being outdoors, and his dogs. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son, Chad, friend, Marva, and grandchildren, Shayla and Blake.

Curtis is survived by a son, Chad of Brooks; special friend, Marva Green of Brooks; a special aunt, Judy Olson of Red Lake Falls; his mother, Dorothy Haugen; his grandmother, Myrtle Plante of Clearbrook; a brother, Jim (Shirley) Plante of Grafton; four sisters, Linda (Tim) Oslund of Crookston, Roxanne (Mike) Finseth and Debbie (Walter) Hornbeak, both of Thief River Falls, and Diane Plante of Brainerd; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his father and grandfather, Frank. A00003B2002MY22
