Lloyd
Joseph Peterson, 88
Gresham,
Ore. - Lloyd Peterson died February 11, 2004 at
Fairlawn Health Care Center in Gresham, Ore.
Lloyd
was born January 3, 1916 in Thief River
Falls.
On
July 18, 1942 he married Beatrice Olson of
Goodridge.
Lloyd
grew up on a farm in Pennington County and went to
Busy Bee School in Smiley Township. During the '50s

owned by Howard Hughes in Los Angeles, Calif. It

to compete this secret project in record time. It
required many hours of overtime.
He
and Beatrice moved from Hawthorne, Calif. to
Portland in 1968 where he worked for Simplex
Manufacturing Company until his

One
of his many hobbies was the challenge of repairing
anything mechanical that had moving parts. Beatrice
said she didn't need to feel jealous if one of the
ladies approached Lloyd in church, she knew that
they had some small appliances needing repairs.
When they made their annual trip to Minnesota to
visit relatives, everyone had a "to do" list for
him. That was his entertainment.
