E. Peterson, 64
Middle
River - Larry E. Peterson, 64, died
unexpectedly at Northwest Medical Center in Thief
River Falls on Sunday, April 4, 2004.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April
7 (today) at First Lutheran Church in Middle River,
with Pastor Curt Matz officiating. Casket bearers
include: Randy Cwikla, Sheldon Peterson, Steve
Neuschwander, Mark Peterson, Mardy Anderson and
Elden Neuschwander.
Larry
Egil Peterson, the son of the late Egil and Mabel
(Anderson) Peterson, was born on March 10, 1940, in
Spruce Valley Township of Marshall County, near
Middle River. He attended school and grew up in the
Middle River community. He was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
On
May 27, 1965, Larry was united in marriage to
Janyce Hamberg in Sisseton, S.D. The couple made
their home in Spruce Valley Township, near Middle
River.
Larry
was employed in road construction for many years,
in addition to farming in Spruce Valley Township.
He was also employed at Arctic Enterprises for
several years.
Survivors
include his wife, Jancye; one daughter, Heidi
Strandberg of Fullerton, Calif.; two sons, Darrel
(Julie) of Middle River and Darrin (Lorrie) of
Warroad; six grandchildren; one brother, Harold of
Middle River; four sisters, Deloris (Stanley)
Larson of Albany, Ore., Mimi Cwikla of Middle
River, Lois (Vernon) Neuschwander of Grygla and
Cherie (Fred) Nissen of Middle River;
sister-in-law, Elaine Monsrud of Middle River; in
addition to many nieces, nephews, and other
relatives.
Larry
was preceded in death by his parents and one
brother, Erick.
