Kathryn Peterson, 46

West Fargo, N.D. - Kathryn A. Peterson, 46, died Saturday, August 11, 2001 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 14, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Interment was in Maple-Sheyenne Lutheran Cemetery at rural West Fargo, N.D. with Korsmo Funeral Home of Moorhead in charge of the arrangements.

Kathryn Ann Semrud was born on October 2, 1954 in St. Paul, the daughter of Ray and Margaret Semrud. The family moved to Bloomington and later to Farmington. In 1970, they moved to Thief River Falls where Kathryn graduated from high school in 1973. She later attended and graduated from the Thief River Falls Area Vocational Technical Institute. In 1975, she moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area where she had since resided.

On September 9, 1989, Kathryn was united in marriage to Robert D. Peterson in Moorhead. The couple lived in rural West Fargo. Since 1980, Kathryn had worked as a legal secretary for Fargo-Moorhead law firms, including the firm of Dosland and Nordhaugen.

Survivors include her husband, Robert of West Fargo; a son, Cole of West Fargo; a daughter, Katelyn of West Fargo; her father, Ray Semrud of Ingleside, Texas; four sisters, Margaret (John) Semrud-Clikeman of Austin, Texas, Karen (Don) Cameron of Moorhead, Laurie Semrud of West Fargo and Amy (Keith) Steva of Plymouth; and two brothers, David Semrud of Stacey and Richard Semrud of Thief River Falls.
