Fred T. Peterson, 90

Argyle - Fred T. Peterson, 90, died Thursday, March 15, 2001 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, at Our Savior's Free Lutheran Church in Argyle. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Argyle with Quanrud-DuBore Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Fred Theodore Peterson was born on April 5, 1910 in Bloomer township of Marshall county, the son of Claus and Mina (Johnson) Peterson. He attended a country school and lived his entire life on the family farm.

On December 7, 1934, he was united in marriage to Irene Lien in Newfolden. The couple farmed at rural Argyle until Fred retired. He also worked for American Crystal Sugar Company in East Grand Forks for 16 years.

Fred was a member of Our Savior's Free Lutheran Church in Argyle.

He enjoyed collecting copper wire and aluminum, dumpster diving, ice skating, roller skating and dancing.

Fred is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Beulah McGlynn of Thief River Falls and Sherry (Arnold) Donarski of Argyle; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Dennis; three sisters; Julia Stone, Augusta Peterson and Hulda Feuillerat; three brothers, Richard, Edward and infant Martin; and a son-in-law, Gene McGlynn. A00003B2000MA21
