Gladys Person, 93

Thief River Falls - Gladys Person, 93, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at the CNC unit of Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.

Funeral serv Person Obit ices will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, at Black River Lutheran Church, rural St. Hilaire, with Rev. Galen Sylvester officiating. Ruthie Mosbeck was the organist. Casketbearers were Tom Scholin, Gene Mosbeck, Leroy Jensen, Jeremy Jensen, Arlo Scholin and Tom Kays. Interment will be in Black River Cemetery in Polk Centre township of Pennington county.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 4) at Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to services at the church.

Gladys E. Person was born on July 21, 1907 in Bray township of Pennington county, the daughter of Christoffer and Hulda (Akerlund) Person. She was baptized and confirmed at Black River Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended a country school in Pennington county. Following her education, Gladys helped her father on the family farm where she continued to live until 1985 when she retired and moved into Thief River Falls. In July of 2000, she moved to the CNC unit of Northwest Medical Center.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, working with flowers and vegetables, the outdoors and watching wildlife and children at play.

Gladys is survived by several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Hazel; and three brothers, Conrad, Clarence and Marvin. A00003B2000AP04
