Rose Perreault, 103

Red Lake Falls - Rose Perreault, 103, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.

Mass of Christian burial was held Perrault obit at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Rob Conwell was the organist. Casketbearers included Dean Dupont, Mike Raymond, Bob Raymond, Rod Perreault, Anthony Jochim, and Tim Jochim. Interment was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne with Johnson Funeral Service of Red Lake Falls in charge of the arrangements.

Rose A. Charest was born on June 17, 1899 at Oklee, the daughter of George and Olevine (Paquin) Charest. She grew up and attended school in Oklee.

In 1926, Rose was united in marriage to Edward Perreault. The couple lived and farmed near Terrebonne until Edward's death in 1976 when Rose moved to Red Lake Falls.

She was a member of the Catholic Foresters, Terrebonne Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Guild, and St. Ann's Society.

Rose enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and especially, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Gerald Perreault of Fargo, N.D.; two daughters, Doreen (Frank) Wiblishauser of St. Paul and Marie (Anton) Jochim of Maple Grove; two stepdaughters, Helen Arveson of Warren and Eva Raymond of Red Lake Falls; 23 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alvina Fischbach of Monticello and Eva Charest of Oklee; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Rose in death were her husband; parents; a stepdaughter, Madeline Dupont; three grandchildren, Tommy Raymond, Diane Jochim, and Glorianne Dupont; a great great-grandchild, Amanda Kargel; and nine siblings.
