Harriet Perreault, 82

New Hope - Harriet Perreault, 82, formerly of Brooks, died on Monday, June 2, 2003 at Northridge Care Center in New Hope.

Mass of Chrisitian Burial was held on Friday, June 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks with the Rev. Tim Bushy officiating. Val Gagnon was the organist. Casketbearers were all of Harriet's grandchildren. Interment was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Brooks.

Harriet Marie Pigeon was born in Brooks on August 16, 1920, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Champagne) Pigeon. She was raised in the Brooks area and attended rural school.

On July 27, 1938, she was united in marriage to David Perreault in Terrebonne. The couple owned and operated Perreault's Service and lived most of their lives in the Brooks area, spending winters in Arizona. David died on 1984 and Harriet continued to live in Brooks and spend her winters in Arizona, until moving to the Northridge Care Center in New Hope.

She was active in St. Ann's Society and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, dancing, bowling, quilting, crocheting, fishing and camping, and was a member of the snowmobiling club, Good Sam's Club and Royal Neighbor's Society.

Survivors include her children, Lloyd (Sandra) of Plymouth, Robert (Lillian) of Maple Grove, Richard (Debbie) of Waseca, Dale (Bobbie) of Glencoe, Marilyn (Charles) Franklin of Moorhead, Karen (Jim) Otto of Brandon, and Marie (Larry) Svir of Maple Grove; 27 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; brother, Sheldon (Rosalie) Pigeon of Brooklyn Park; and sister, Veronica (Leonard) Boucher of Brooks.

Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, David; son-in-law, Willard "Bill" Marcotte; one step-grandson; and one grandson-in-law.
