William Arnold Pederson, 40

Thornton, Colo. - William Arnold Pederson, 40, formerly of Greenbush, died on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colo.

William Pederson Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 27 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Father Don Braukmann officiating. Mitch Walski was the organist and Jeanne Novacek, Bernard Gonshorowski and the Blessed Sacrament Church Choir provided special music. Casketbearers were Larry Pederson, Bob Pederson, Rick Thompson, Paul Thompson, Lee Anderson and Joe Yarosz. Honorary casketbearers were all those who attended the service. Interment was in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Leo, with military honors accorded by the Greenbush American Legion Post 88.

William Arnold Pederson was born on January 8, 1962, the son of Arne and Shirley (Gonshorowski) Pederson in Warren. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. William attended school in Greenbush.

"Bill" served with the U.S. Army Guard and Reserve and following his discharge, returned to Greenbush.

On December 28, 1985, he was united in marriage to Jean Thompson at Benwood, near Strathcona. Since their marriage, the couple has resided in Thornton, Colo., where Bill worked in the family owned masonry business. He was a member of the Greenbush American Legion Post 88 and a former member of the Greenbush Fire Department.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, four-wheeling, motorcycling, and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; two daughters, Chelsea and Ashley; his parents, Arne and Shirley Pederson of Greenbush; three brothers, Larry (Cindy) of Thornton, Colo., Bob (Julie) of Greenbush, and Rick of Hamilton, Mont.; one sister, Vicki, Mrs. Steve Gast of Argyle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Bill was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barney and Frances Gonshorowski, and paternal grandparents, Ole and Alvina Pederson.
