Lakes - Kenneth E. Pearson, 65 of Detroit Lakes
died on Monday, February 16, 2004 in his home.
Funeral
services were held on Thursday, Feb. 19, at
Wes-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with Pastor
H. Wade Dutton officiating.
Kenneth
Ervin Pearson was born June 15, 1938 in Thief River
Falls to Ervin and Edythe (Joranson) Pearson. He
completed his education in the Thief River Falls
school system and attended the University of North
Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D. for two years.
He
married Ellen Koglin in 1960. They moved to Detroit
Lakes, where Kenneth joined the Land Surveyer
Division of MnDOT. He worked there until his death.
He was also a member of the Minnesota National
Guard where he was a member of the National Rifle
Sharpshooting Team. Kenneth enjoyed target
shooting, hunting and being outdoors.
Survivors
include his mother of Detroit Lakes; daughters, Sue
(Lyle) Sonnenberg of Detroit Lakes, Kathy Pearson
of Fargo, N.D., Bonnie Bartsh of Hastings; sons,
Mike Pearson of Barnsville and Jeff Pearson of
Audubon; and two grandsons.
He
was preceded in death by his father; and his wife
Ellen.
