Harry Paulson, 81

Goodridge - Harry W. Paulson, 81, died Saturday, October 20, 2001 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.

Funeral services were held at 10 Paulson a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge with Rev. Robert Dahlen officiating. Margie Iverson was the organist. Casketbearers were Andy Paulson, Chad Paulson, Troy Paulson, Jim Kveton, Kramer Hanson, Todd Kaminen and Mike Hemmestvedt. Honorary casketbearers included Arianna Paulson, Janelle Kveton, Heidi Paulson, Nicole Kennedy, Jill Zupetz, Jeff Zupetz, Jason Hanson, Cameron Lundeen, James Appelman, Tasha Lundeen and Kelsey Lundeen. Interment was in Goodridge Cemetery in Goodridge with Green Funeral Home of Thief River Falls in charge of the arrangements.

Harry William Paulson was born on March 15, 1920 in Bemidji, the son of Henry and Mathilda (Jones) Paulson. He attended school in Bemidji and moved with his family to the Goodridge area in 1940.

On June 18, 1944, Harry was united in marriage to Mabel Olson at Reiner Lutheran Church, rural Goodridge. During their marriage, the couple lived and farmed in Highlanding Township of Pennington County. Harry drove bus for the Goodridge School District for several years and also worked at lumber yards in Thief River Falls. Mabel died on January 5, 1996. Most recently, Harry had resided at Valley Home in Thief River Falls and Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Goodridge.

Because of his egg route, he was known as "Harry, the Egg Man." He enjoyed playing cards, farming, ice fishing, drinking coffee and telling jokes with his friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynette (John) Zupetz of Forbes, Karyl Kveton of Goodridge and Joann (Gary) Lundeen of Oklee; four sons, Gene (Susan) Paulson of Aurora and David (Diane) Paulson, Steven (Mavis) Paulson and Robert "Gunder" (Bridget) Paulson, all of Goodridge; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Harry was preceded in death by his wife; two infant daughters; his parents; and two sisters, Edna Appelman and Gladys Davern. 03B2001OC24
