Erskine
- Henry Patterson, 90, died on Friday, February
28, 2003 at First Care Hospital in
Fosston.
Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday,
March 5 (today) at the United Methodist Church in
Erskine with the Rev. Lois Ball officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to
services at the church. Interment will be in the
Synod cemetery of rural Erskine.
Henry
Walter Patterson was born on May 5, 1912, the son
of Ira and Jenny (Reintsma) Patterson in Lismore.
At the age of nine months, he moved with his family
to a farm north of Erskine.
On
April 19, 1934, he married Marietta Reintsma in
Rock Rapids, Iowa. The couple farmed and lived
north of Erskine, until moving into town in
1954.
Survivors
include a son, Walter (Jean) of Newfolden; three
daughters, Jeanette Mayer and Sharon Rudolph of
Erskine and Geneva (Kenneth) Jorgenson of Rockford;
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
a brother, Louie (Marie) Patterson of
Erskine.
Henry
was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta; his
parents; two brothers, John and Elmer; and two
sisters, Mary Patterson and Hattie Nordby.
