Grand
Forks, N.D. - Shelby Ostmo, 65, formerly of
Greenbush, died on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at
Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, June 24 at the
University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.
Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand
Forks.
Shelby
Ostmo was born in Greenbush on March 14, 1938, the
daughter of Obert and Ida (Bjerke) Reierson. She
grew up near Greenbush and graduated from Greenbush
High School.
On
September 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to
Elvin Ostmo in Minneapolis. The couple lived in
numerous Naval and Marine bases throughout the
country. They moved to Grand Forks in
1971.
Survivors
include children, Vicky (Dale) Hallock of Buxton,
N.D., Tammy (Benjamin) Adkins of Tampa, Fla., Elvin
Ostmo III of Fargo, N.D., Monica Powers of Grand
Forks, N.D., Dawn Swann of East Grand Forks,
Monique (Jackie Schill) Ostmo of Thief River Falls,
Toni (Gregory) Cross of Thief River Falls and
Tiffany Ostmo of Grand Forks; 22 grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Orla Majer
of Roseau, Beverly (Robert) Swan of Gilbert and
Sharron Williams of Duluth; and one brother, Virgil
(Lois) Reierson of Bemidji.
Shelby
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband
and a sister, Betty Haugen.
